FALL:  apple & pumpkin picking, hayrides, cider, pies, breads, soups, ice cream, farm tours

2023 apple picking has finished for the season.  Apples available to purchase in our market

Our favorite time of the year. The crisp air brings many varieties of apples to our market. Cortland, Macintosh, Galas, Macouns, Honeycrisp, Empire, Delicious, Fugi and Winesap are some of the more popular varieties harvested from our trees. The orchard opens for pick your own apples in early September. Remember, different varieties ripen at different times. Feel free to call for varieties ready for harvest on the day you plan to pick. Continuous hayrides (weekends only) will take you to the pumpkin patch beginning the last weekend of September and continues through October. Feel free to walk to the patch all week long or select the perfect pumpkin from the market. Corn stalks, hardy mums, gourds, hay bales and many other fall decorations make your decorating dreams complete! 2019 begins our 31th season of providing educational and fun farm tours for schools and play groups.  Reservations are required for participation.  As always the market kitchen is in full swing preparing pies, breads, cookies, salads and homemade ice cream and now offering HOT SPICED CIDER!

SUMMER:  "Jersey Fresh"  sweet corn, tomatoes, peaches, cut flower bouquets, deli salads, breads, pies, ice cream

With the July 4th holiday begins the season for fresh Jersey sweet corn and tomatoes. Within a few short weeks, we begin picking juicy tree ripened peaches and crisp summer apples to be sold in our market. Our colorful flower garden is blooming and we cut bouquets daily. . Relax on our garden patio overlooking the flowers and alpacas.  Enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee or an ice cream cone made right here in our market!  Be sure to try some of our new all homemade deli salads! Some are traditional and some are a bit creative!  Our most poplular is Macaroni and Cheese picnic salad!  Its a winner with the kids as well.  As always the market kitchen is in full swing preparing pies, breads, cookies, salads and homemade ice cream.  

 

 

 

SPRING: asparagus, annuals, perennials, planters, bakery, deli salads, ice cream

Opening on April 7th, we kick off the New Jersey farming season with asparagus coming soon. This is one of the very first crops to announce summer is on it's way! Please call the market for today's availability.  The market is also host to annuals and perennials for the beginner to advanced gardener. Why not try some of our heirloom tomato plants which will remind you of grandma's garden! For those with little or no time for gardening, add instant color and beauty to your home by selecting one of our many vibrant hanging baskets or planters!  As always, the market kitchen is busy preparing pies, breads, cookies, salads and homemade ice cream!

Safe planting date in New Jersey is on or about May 15th.  Watch the weather forecast for frost alerts before planting.
